Police Tour Application

Thank you for your interest in touring the Elk Grove Police Department. We welcome civic and student groups to tour our Police Department. Tours are offered by appointment only and are scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Requests for tours are made online and must be submitted at least 14 days in advance. You will receive a confirmation email within 3 business days.

The tour lasts approximately one hour. Facility tours are educational and are designed to help residents better understand the workings of a police department. The Elk Grove Police Department is a 24- hour workplace; therefore tours are limited to school-aged children and above.

The tour of the Police Department consists of the Service Center, Interview Room, Communications Center, and Briefing. Groups may note their preferences for two additional stops on the tour: Property and Evidence, Forensics, Transcription / Holding Area, PD Car on display.

Please note that while we will make our best effort to accommodate your request, due to the nature of Law Enforcement some portions of the department may be inaccessible on the day of your tour. Additionally, tours cannot always be accommodated on the requested date and time and an alternative tour date may be offered. Please keep in mind that all tours are subject to last minute cancellations.
