Live Scan Fingerprinting is done by our front counter officers Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. only at the Elk Grove Police Station, 8380 Laguna Palms Way.
You must have an appointment for this service!
To make an appointment, please call (916) 478-8009, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. When you call, please have the form in front of you. We will need information from the form to properly schedule your appointment and to advise you of the fees involved.
When you arrive, please have the form completed. You will also need to show one of the following forms of identification:
- Valid Driver's License or valid California ID card, or
- An original or certified copy of your birth certificate and any photo ID, or
- A valid Passport
There is a $12.00 fee for completing the fingerprinting. There may be additional fees required by the State of California or the FBI. When you call, we can advise you of the costs. Fees may be paid by cash, check, Visa or MasterCard.
If possible, please do not bring small children. We do not have people available to watch your children. The scanning takes about 15 minutes and we need your hands free.
