Street Crimes Unit: Gang, Drug or Vice Complaints
The Elk Grove Police Department's Street Team Unit consists of of two sergeants and 11 detectives. Our Street Team specializes in gang, drug and vice offenses. They monitor graffiti, gang movement and track drug activity.
We have recently added a K9 unit to assist with our drug abatement efforts. "Radar" is a passive K9 meaning she sits when she detects the narcotics she has been trained for. (Find out more about out K-9 Unit clicking here.)
