Missing Persons Unit

Our Missing Persons Unit handles all cases involving missing persons from Elk Grove.  Additionally, the Unit will handle requests from other agencies to try and locate people who may be in the Elk Grove area.

The MP Unit consists on one full time officer, 1 part time officer and several of our volunteers.  This unit has been very successful in tracking down and clearing our cases.

Return Home Program

The Elk Grove Police department,  in conjunction with the National Alzheimer's Association has developed a program called "Return Home". The program is designed in to assist the police department when a person who suffers from dementia, or is

We maintain a file, database and photograph for each participant. The data base includes the person's name, birth date, address, phone number, physical description, level of impairment, medical problems, medications, allergies, doctor and caregiver information.

There is no cost to participate in the program. Our volunteers can make an appointment for the photo and respond to your residence to pick up the paperwork and take the picture.  For complete information, view .pdf file Return Home document.
